Greetings,

Thank you for stopping by. Somewhere between writing books, chasing ideas, and convincing myself that one more cup of tea is a perfectly reasonable decision, this website came to life. I’m glad you’re here. I'll share more below.

The Story of Katrina Case

Greetings,

I’m Katrina Case, a Mississippi author, lifelong storyteller, registered nurse, tea enthusiast, and proud cat mom. I believe stories have the power to connect people, encourage hope, and remind us that none of us are truly alone.

I live with my family. I have a close relationship with my mother and two adult sons. And there are three cats who frequently supervise my writing sessions. I’ve never met a stranger, and some of my favorite conversations begin with a simple question, a shared story, or a cup of tea. Whether you’ve discovered my novels, found your way here through Unspoken Horizons, or simply stopped by out of curiosity, I’m glad you’re here.

The Story Behind the Stories

I’ve loved stories for as long as I can remember. Long before I published my first novel, I was fascinated by people—their struggles, relationships, secrets, dreams, and the choices that shape their lives. That curiosity eventually found its way onto the page.

Today, I write women’s fiction, mystery, suspense, family dramas, and emotionally driven stories that explore resilience, hope, forgiveness, and the complexities of human relationships. Many of my novels are set in communities across America, from coastal towns to small Southern communities, each one filled with characters facing challenges that feel real and relatable.

My goal has never been simply to entertain. I want readers to feel something. To see themselves in a character. To reflect, question, heal, hope, or simply enjoy the journey.

A Life of Caring

Before becoming a full-time writer, I spent more than two decades working as a registered nurse. Nursing taught me lessons that continue to influence my writing every day. It showed me the strength people carry through difficult seasons, the importance of compassion, and how powerful it can be when someone feels truly heard.

Throughout my career, I worked in a variety of healthcare settings and specialties, caring for people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Those experiences deepened my understanding of resilience, grief, courage, and human connection—themes that often appear throughout my books.

Finding Strength Through Change

In 2006, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. For many years, the condition had little impact on my daily life, allowing me to continue building my nursing career and pursuing my goals. Over time, however, MS became increasingly challenging and eventually led me to step away from nursing.

While that chapter of my life changed, it didn’t end my desire to help others.

Today, I continue to encourage and connect with people through writing, through Unspoken Horizons, and through conversations with others facing difficult seasons of their own. My journey has taught me that life doesn’t always unfold according to plan, but meaningful purpose can still be found in unexpected places.

Beyond Writing

When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me spending time with family, enjoying a good cup of tea, brainstorming future book ideas, or being entertained by one of my three cats.

A few quick facts:

  • Favorite color: Blue

  • Favorite drink: Tea

  • Cat lover

  • Author of more than thirty novels

  • Creator of fictional communities across America

  • Believer in second chances, meaningful conversations, and finding beauty in ordinary moments

Unspoken Horizons

In addition to writing fiction, I created Unspoken Horizons, a space dedicated to reflection, encouragement, and personal growth.

Through articles, reflections, poetry, and quotes from Quiet Strength, my goal is simple: to offer comfort, understanding, and hope to people navigating life’s challenges. Whether through a novel or a reflection piece, I believe words matter. Sometimes a story can entertain us. Other times it can remind us that we’re stronger than we think.

Thank You for Visiting

Thank you for spending a few moments here. I hope you’ll explore the books, visit Unspoken Horizons, and perhaps discover a story that stays with you long after the final page. Because at the heart of everything I write is a simple belief:

Every life has a story worth telling.

"The beauty of writing is that a single idea becomes a world, and that world can stay with someone forever."
